Hello, the new version is released !

bg_trenches_war_v2_1 change

-added occluder
-added fire sound
-cannon's rate of fire changed to 15 sec

bg_trenches_war_v2 change

-minor gameplay change. (see screens)
-18th century cannon
-ladder don't block
-ladder in spawn (for spawn blocker)
-new defensive stuff
-new useless stuf for look : more shovel...
-better skybox, with burning farm, and burning city.

I re-tested my map, with a good server. the gameplay is good (not perfect, i adjust it in new version), and canon very fun. The war ambience is realy nice, with the fire and the exploding crater.

test it and post comments, for add to gameplay/fun !

Before I write anything, I want to say that in English, the word canon is used for the Holy Bible, while cannon is the weapon. It's a common mistake that even fluent English-speakers make.

Now for the map. Anything with a big gun, I like....yes that sounds gay, but I assure you, I am not gay. It's looks nice. Bon travail, mon ami, et bon chance.

- 18 th century cannon
- better skybox with more burning house.

coming soon : random shake/explosion. but I don't know how to make random. (I know it is possible)

Brush for cannon, and model for the wheel.

the wheels are physic models, with the prop_dynamic entities. you can transform all physic models to static models with prop_dyamic.

But I use the prop_dynamic, (and no prop_physics with motion disabled) because the parent properties doesn't exist in prop_physics.

The brush is simply a momentary_rot_button.
The explosion and the wheels are parented to cannon.

If you want, I can create a prefabs.

open your map
open the prefab .vmf (if it is still done that way - prefabs in old hl1 were just .rmf werent they?)
copy what you need
paste into your map
done

whoa. nice job on the map frenchy. hope tjoppen includes this map in the next patch so we wud have sum servers playing this awesome map. probably the best map ive played on bg2 so far. 8)
