Some the models have bad, glitchy, or missing collision models, not enough skins, or REALLY shitty LOD's. I was hoping that instead of adding new models in the next update that people are willing to fix or update the existing ones. It would also be awesome to have more seasonal skins for foliage.

Hawke has some map props he is working on. We did have some colored leaf trees at one time (New England in BG2 used these in early versions), though their colors were too strong. Toned down, they might be nice.

By the time the next release comes out I hope to have created a fairly comprehensive nature pack, with at least 3-4 trees and bushes per season.

Specifically what models were you talking about? I would like to take a look at them.

bg2_props/trees/fort_tree2_small.mdl I think this is the one on ambush. Has a "cut" in the trunk (you can see through the model).
bg2_props/rocks/rock_1.mdl - horrible LOD and texture
bg2_props/rocks/rock_1_large.mdl - same
bg2_props/shutter.mdl - origin is ridiculously far from the prop
bg2_props/skybox/mountain2.mdl - has no texture
bg2_props/skybox/newengland.mdl - doesn't seem to exist
bg2_props/hay.mdl - used in older maps, like newengland. Just needs to be remodeled.
jayarc/... ok. too much to list. Half the models are stolen and the other half have no texture.
hogan/ pretty much the same as jayarc. The wagons are good. The rest is odd.
msc/ just outdated.
pedroleum/ these are on farmlands. I hate that map because of these. The new strangeways is trash because of these. Reduce the density.
props/battleship.mdl limited use considering the collision model.
props/de_inferno/ Any of the bushes in this folder. They all suck and don't light well.
props/palisades You'll have to explain someday why the models are below the origin.
props_farm/cow_dead2.mdl 5 skins and only one works.
props_foliage/tree_pine_tall 1, 2 and cluster. People put in player clips instead of invisible (probably on purpose) but they really should have collision models.
props_furniture/clayoven and couch don't have textures. Wouldn't worry about couch, though. DELETE IT.
props_windows/ wndb, wndc, wndc_interior, wndc2, wndc2_interior, wndg, wndx1open ALL missing textures
tax/ Meh. Could use a fresh coat of paint.

Strange/ bad collision models:
Waterfall01
hedgetree (lazy)
tax/bushlarge
surgeon (half of them are very odd).
props_foliage/tree_snow1 (wtf is that!)
props_foliage/hedge_medium - missing
props/palisades - another WTF. Either too complex or missing. Huh.
plants/yukka_001a_large - missing. Like most plants. Meh.
msc/ - missing. the hedge needs one. bush not so much.
jayarc/balustrade - wrong
hogan/powderflask - Lazy collision
hogan/parrifin_lamp - incomplete
cannonball/cannon_pile - Again. WTF.
bg2_props/various/tree_group - missing
bg2_props/trees/oak and oak1 It's better when the collision runs to whole trunk.
bg2_props/trees/fort_tree2_small - misaligned.
bg2_props/trees/fort_tree - same.
bg2_props/trees/fall_hedge - missing
bg2_props/trees/elm - lazy
bg2_props/snow_tree_clump and clumps - Rusholme would be more fun with better collisions
bg2_props/moving_window/moving_window - missing
bg2_props/flair the collision on the bridge causes players to "lag" (seems to be an issue with hl2 multiplayer and ramps). Rest of the models - missing collsion

I hopes that's all.

These models are from a Civil War mod that died, they were given to bg2. That explains why half of them were never finished.
NONE of these models are "stolen", I don't even know what you mean by that.

They just look like models that came from other games, that's all. Like with the CS:S models and the DoD:S models.

You made 3/4 of a map for me. If you want, I can try my hand making extra and/or better skins for those models. However you'll have to make the VMTs...

You can't change this without breaking existing maps using it. This really doesn't matter so long as you can place them properly and they keep working in township/assault.

Bushes are not supposed to have a collision model anyway. The only thing that might be good for is letting the model throw a shadow or something, if that even requires a collision model or the normal wireframe is enough. Waterfall should perhaps get the weird collision in the air fixed but it's really better off without collision anyway, you'll have to use block_bullets or playerclip if you need it.

The palisade models without collision were intentionally made without collision. That is what "nc" stands for in "palisade6_nc.mdl". There is little use to collisions here since the props were made for a particular map - bg_assault - and collisions are fine there by a combination of these props and brushes - they are mostly embedded into existing walls anyway, though quite a number use the collision model.

There are also palisade models from tax, their collision might have to be fixed in order to make the models more usable.

bg2_props\trees\fern_large.mdl - works normally as static or dynamic but can't fade as dynamic (haven't tested static).
models/props_foliage/tree_snow1.mdl - doesn't react to lighting properly
