We want to have a further beta test as the release of 2.1 is coming closer and work is nearing completion on many fronts.
Time of beta test will be this Saturday, 3rd of September, at about 18:00 PM in european summer time (CEST) and 12:00 noon in US Eastern time (EST).

We want to have as great attendance as possible, so if you have any people in your clans and communities that can be mobilized, get them to grab the development version via SVN (instructions: link).

Intended for the test is a full round game of ticket mode on bg_fall, which is going to be our official map redesigned for this game mode for release. After that, further testing will continue on other maps.
As server we will probably use our North American SVN test server, alternatively Klifsnider may host.

We have the guy who operates the '76 server setting it up for a dual boot so we can swap it over to the SVN. With luck, it will work for tomorrow's test.

After working with a few people tonight, we have the 76 server up and running as a dedicated SVN tester. We have 40 open slots. A preliminary test tonight showed the tweaks to movement speeds/strafe/etc will make a little different feel.

I STRONGLY urge people to download the SVN and be at the test tomorrow. Right now, the major thing slowing us up for the release is bug finding and slaying. Basically, the more people we get in the game, the more bugs we find, and the sooner we can push out the release.

Not sure if it was the server being located in USA, but I hit a lot through with bayonet.

This was a great test, thanks to everyone who joined us. We've had a peak amount of players of about 15 or 16 I think and playing lasted for 2 hours and a bit.

Bugs from personal observation:

- Bayonet damage for the Charleville and Revolutionnaire bayonets are slightly too low: 40 damage for a hit to the arm and 59 damage for a hit to the stomach. This together is not lethal as it should and as it used to be in 2.0. It's probably safe to say we should increase some bayonet damages by 1 across all hitboxes.
- Initial ticket drain occurs right when the round starts

Test participants, please add your feedback and findings.

our 24 slot server has 5 days left on it , if you guys want to switch it over you can , or alternitavely the 10slot we have can be used if u want which is paid for a month , il give u the ftp stuff and you can use it theyre both Eu

Most Game Server Providers wont let you switch between mods, nevermind use SVN.

Ja, we lucked out with ours, he's very cool. (We have our server provided through an individual-run company, so it makes life MUCH easier in a lot of cases.) Any chance we'll be able to get a EU server up for testing after the BGU match?

I thought you could just delete the original bg2 files and upload the svn ones?

The alternate weapons feel great, but I did notice a small animation glitch with the militia reloading, not sure if it may have just been my game or not. It did stop after a few minutes in server.

All in all, the beta felt great. Can't wait for it to drop.
