i wont reply to this topic, since my last reply was simply deleted.
but i will re-post my question.

can you in .17 disable-enable flags?

Ram1.

Flags should still be able to disable and enable via inputs just as before.

I still get the "63/gateflag - flag UTIL_SetModel: not precached: models/other/flag_w.mdl" error when disabling flags.

Sorry about my lack of posts on the issue. I just got back from a few days in the Adirondacks with friends. As for the OK: You're right on that, I should've realized it, my mistake. I'll do a new command for it once the majority of my body doesn't feel like it's been brutalized (it's been a long three days).

As for everything else, I don't actually think I have a whole heck of a lot to say. I'd like to see new, more open maps, and perhaps actually slow down the reload speed a little since movement speed has been decreased.

Fishing up there? I went up to Lake George one summer awhile back. It was nice.

Nah, friend is heading off to the Marines. Was doing one last shin-dig for him. Yesterday, I ended up paddling a canoe across the lake twice, the second time all on my own with the wind constantly trying to put my head about. It got to be such hot work, I had to take my shirt off, but now the majority of my torso is burnt, and I can't move my shoulders without a lot of pain :'(

YES IT CRASHES THE GAME! if you have a flag disabled when you start the map it crashes right off, if you disable a flag from a trigger as soon as it triggers it crashes.

Tis a pitty!

Ohhh yeah the wind was pretty bad when I was up there too. Some people went out in paddle boats but they just got blown around. One night there was a really nasty thunderstorm if I recall. That cold air comes from Canada and into the mountains and those thunderstorms can get pretty bad.

Ah, I wasn't aware of this. It's probably because that model(flag_w) doesn't exist.

I don't remember if I had the same problem in the previous versions, but I get my console flooded with error messages. They're mostly about sounds and models and probably some other stuff too. I've heard other people have the same problem so it's not about my computer.

Yes- a certain number of errors will come into console in .17. As long as the game itself is working fine then everything is okay. Ignore those errors if all else is working.
