Sharpedge Battlegrounds 2 Beta school report card:

Very bad attendance! D-

Heh, sorry about that guys. I've been absent recording a radio play and also, I'm ashamed to admit, playing copius amounts of Total War 2. However, I vow to be back on the server at the appointed times next week. I'll probably post myself a reminder closer to wednesday.

What do you think the chances are of organising a "Big Bash" so to speak, with pre-arranged teams, to get the feel of how 0.18 will play with a larger group of players?

I hope everything's going well. I've dropped in a couple of times recently and messed around on my own but that doesn't really test much, so I'm looking forward to putting a ball through someone's skull sometime soon.

I notice the 0.18 version of New England has the spawn flags removed?

I've obviously not played it with a full server but I can't help feeling it is going to be a walkover for the Americans?

They are noticably closer to the two remaining flags and without the graveyard flag as a safety net I believe the British are going to struggle

The American spawns have been moved as well, to the first floor of the house afaik... but it's nothing final yet anyways.

Bloody typical. I make a post specifically saying I'll be there tonight and then I get re-called. So I won't be there tonight but I'll do my best to be at the North American test on Thursday at midnight. So if you guys are still frequenting the beta server at that time I'll see you then.

I still can't get the game to run. I did the svn download, but no game appears in my steam list. I tried making a shortcut, even with the new suggested way, but I still get a game crash before the game starts up. Can someone help me out?

do you have a bg2-svn folder in your sourcemods folder and does it checkout to "svn://bgmod.com/game/bg2" ? then the tortoise svn program should grab all the files and everything should work properly. One possible mistake is to only checkout to "svn://bgmod.com/game/" which will lead to TSVN creating the bg2 folder in your bg2-svn folder and that wont work.

85.116.29.131:27020
This is the bg2 beta server provided by tront.
There is a beta test schedule somewhere in the forums (on the first page of this topic to be more exact), but usually only the tests with times suitable for europeans are attended (wednesday 19:00 GMT and saturday 18:00 GMT).
