The development of the next version, 1.1b, is moving on nicely, and now that we have moved everything to our new server and everything is functional, it is time for us to test a few new features together with the community. Everyone is invited to come to Tront's BG2-svn beta server (85.116.29.131:27020) on

Thursday, 28th of June, 18:00-19:00 GMT,
Friday, 29th of June, 18:30-19:30 GMT,
Saturday, 30th of June, 18:00-19:00 GMT,
Sunday, 1st of July, 17:00-18:45 GMT.

To participate you will have to follow the following instructions:

Step 0: Install an SVN client. TortoiseSVN works fine( http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/ ). This may or may not require a reboot.
Step 1: Go to your /Steam/SteamApps/SourceMods/ folder
Step 2: Create a folder in there called bg2-svn
Step 3: right click the bg2-svn folder and select "SVN Checkout ..."
Step 4: Enter "svn://bgmod.com/game/bg2" in the first field and the checkout directory should already be filled with the path of your BG2 folder.
Once the checkout is done, BG2 (SVN) will appear as a new game in your steam game list.

SVN is a method of file exchange that lets us commit new versions of files to the SVN repository any moment. Note that this may require you to update your local bg2-svn folder before the tests. (We recommend doing it regularly and one day before the tests and 2-3h before the tests).

We have word from First| and TRR that they will participate with as many of their players as possible, so come! Well attended tests give you and us a better feedback of how the things will turn out, making our work a lot easier and the end product a lot better.

New features this week:
- british voice commands
- improved melee hit detection
- added a short arc of attack for sword melee attacks

More tests will be announced here.

13:00, but you have to add the effect of DST to it. Even in the UK time is on GMT+1 during summer, so they have to come at 19:00.

its now exactly 4:45 till the test. you should all update SVN now so we dont get a lot of people updating 20minutes before that dont finish in time.

Very good, this was a good testing session for us. Report anything that could be of importance for us here.
