changelog:

v0.0.12 - 20050807
GameInfo.txt renamed gameinfo.txt for Linux compatibility
incorporated all accuracy values from 1.0F RC14, not just the standing still ones
also using 1.0F RC14 attack delays for melee(1.0 for baoynets, 1.1 for knife, 1.4 for sabre)
made american sniper get revolutionnaire, and infantry get charleville. they were mixed up
reduced damage forces on players and ragdolls
"move on" voicecomm added to advance
updated melee logic. first it tries to behave like the HL2 crowbar, and if it succeeds so far it tries
for "aimed" blows so hitgroups can be hit
class/team selection menu redone
stamina system added
crosshair changed to something more visible
sabre and knife now works underwater
sk_player_* readded, but only for getting rid of nag messages - they don't work
bullet whizzes added
flag transparency fixed
a whole lot of maps added
lots of other small things I can't remember
now needed players for capture of a flag is min( what_flag_wants, how_many_players_on_team ), so that
even if one team normally would have too few players for capture, they now can

The update is great I love it!! For the next version, see if you can add bots that work better for at least some of the maps. Keep up the good work.

One thing though, about the infantry. When standing, the circle crosshair is a good size. But when crouching, it goes to small. Crouching will not make that much of a difference, will it? Unless that is in the code. the crouch crosshair should be wider. I could be wrong about crouching aim, but I'm no expert. ermm.gif

Linux Dedicated Server (UNTESTED): http://www.battlegroundsleague.com/server_i486.zip

If it doesn't work, its a problem with different versions of GCC or who knows what. Try compiling it yourself.

Yes it makes such a big difference. For you see:

The crosshair is based on the spread cone.
The spread cone is based on the accuracy values.
The accuracy values are from 1.0F.

After all, it is the sniper musket. It does crap damage for a reason smile.gif

um well anyways i want to say special thanks to draco for making the menu better, and flags biggrin.gif and i dono what else u have done but yea. smile.gif

The crosshair circle isnt a perfect circle when its at its smallest
bayo's recoil is really really stupid doing a 90 decree.

and ive PM u about another thing over IRC.

at least im able to melee ppl now, oh yea the server crash is annoying.

But i'm talking about the infantry. Did you mix up the crosshairs for the minute men and infantry? Because now, the infantry are the most accurate when crouched, when the minute men should be most accurate when crouched.

just add an option for a static crosshair, and a fairly "standard" one (4 prong with dot in the middle would be the obvious choice) at that...

as for the dynamic crosshair - unless the accuracy changes are no longer instant, it's about as useless as you can get, as it's not only distracting, but that distraction doesn't even reflect accuracy... or wait, you can make it even worse and do it like the bg defaults, that actually obscure the target on top of all that. :/

compromise solution:
dynamic crosshair with a fixed center - should make everyone happy. :)
