Starting on the 11th of July, we will be holding public betatests for the upcoming new version of BG2.


The first two public tests are scheduled to:

July 11, 14 PM EST / 20 PM CET
July 12, 13 PM EST / 19 PM CET

We are expecting to test bg_freemans_farm, bg_pillage and ctf_river (new CTF game mode) as well as other new maps on the first two tests. Post anything that you come across while trying bg2 beta in here.

This sv new version of the bg? I like to try but you know I dont seem shure of it much. I may will load later today when I get a chance. the gun sight seem good idea for real guns and maybe help th game some. movement is fast yet yes? but game cannot be to fast or else the robot romp the mod not like this.

If you really want to know it. The infantry movement has been increased by like 5 points. It was "190" before. You can guess just how little this means and what the new speeds end up at..

In today's betatest we will be playing in either the

Tront bg2 1.5 server (81.19.209.253:27065) or
BG2 1.5 server provided by Dynasty (193.93.45.205:27016).

Thanks to all you guys for coming, this test was very succesful after some problems with the servers in the beginning. The part with germantown was totally awesome

Post game for today's test:
Thanks to everyone who showed up. The test seemed quite successful despite the server issue in the beginning.
It looks like Germantown could still use a few small tweaks:
Increase the capture times,
Maybe make it so British can retake areas?
Fix up some of the flag logic...

We can look into increasing the smoke effects.

Capture the flag mode seemed to work pretty nicely.
Nobody reported a game crash.

People can view the hlstatsx page I've set up for the SVN here: ( Please keep in mind that this is a local server I've set up, and it'll probably be offline alot. )

We have decided to schedule two more betatests for this weekend on Saturday and Sunday:

Sat, Aug 1, 15 PM EST / 21 PM CET,
Sun, Aug 2, 15 PM EST / 21 PM CET. (edited this so it is 1h after the EU bgl matches, so you guys can come a few minutes later when your matches are done)


Depending on the amount of people that come we will be looking at a few things that we have changed. Everyone is invited to come to the betatests. Last ones have been a lot of fun not only due to the native american (and the man train):

Bugs i found so far:
- When you die while using iron sights, you can't use it next time you spawn, it can be used again when you die again.
- I updated my game by the 1.2.1 to 1.5a patch, i have a texture bug with the american millitia:



I also noticed a crash now and then:
