This section lets me post up some of the raw notes and mechanics I'm looking at using. They are open for suggestions, though I may or may not take them.

QUOTE
No Jaegers until August of '76
Half Continental Line until June of '76 (as per "The United States infantry: an illustrated history, 1775-1918")
Holding a city prevents Americans from raising militia, allows for raising of loyalists in the south
10% of population's militia levied a year for moving armies?
If a second assault is launched on an army, it can be done on two servers, with armies moving troops between the servers to provide reenforcements
Militia kept for two seasons will be turned into Continental Line

These are all notes, again, and are perhaps open for discussion. I am still playing with the numbers as to militia to be raised by an area.

How exactly will militia be handled as per who gets to play as them?

Militia tickets will be lumped with the tickets of the whole American side in a battle, however, they will skew the ratios of unit types on the Continental side. If the Americans have 4000 tickets on the field, and 2500 of them are militia, then on a 20 man team, 13 of them (rounded from 12.5) will have to be militia.

To be honest I think having strict and/or complicated rules for the BFTC will result in people having less fun.
You could just keep it simple and make sure the majority of the team is militia, without forcing people to change class - just because the numbers aren't 100% correct.

If people aren't having fun, then I will adjust accordingly. This is, of course, only one more way to play the game. These are just things that I have mental (and now written!) notes on how I think it should work, to make it both realistic and interesting. Otherwise, it'd just be a constant series of skirmishes using the ticket system!

I just got back from my holiday, and it seems no one has been replying here for a few weeks, so here's the question: Is BFTC2 still going to happen?

I was thinking for organisation you could do a sign up for the event, like publics and clans could sign up,mabye filling out a template e.g
for player
Name:
SteamCommunity Page:
Preferred Faction:
Preferred Regiment to fight with:

for clan
Name:
SteamCommunity page of leader:
Amount of players participating:
Preferred faction:

could help make things a bit more organised?
