Well, I'm sitting in Afghanistan, and I'm about to pick up some mail, but I'll be on Skype in an hour or so. We can talk a bit there, and find out what we want to work out. (Assuming you'll be awake in an hour)

Sorry for the delay; things have been a bit crazy. I did send you a PM though.

Yup, no problem. Things get spotty out here sometimes too, and I'm usually racked out during the "business" hours of the US right now anyway.

Forlorn I received the pm and things should be ready to go this evening late Eastern time. I will PM you the login details to use.

After getting some kinks worked out the server is up in NY... The IP is 74.63.54.142:27015

I have your user information and am sending it too you as we speak (type) and feel free to change whatever you wish. It is a base installation and nothing more but functions well. The SVN should be setup sometime Friday although I am not sure on an exact time it should pull daily updates of the svn and add them to the svn folder on the server automatically. Those details will be more clear then. Good Luck!

So out of curiosity has anyone tried the server to see how it functions? Just wondered if this is going to be useful to you guys or not.

I actually just a couple hours ago forwarded the info to Ad-Man and Nathan Hale :X I'll let them tweak and peak it, and then things should be set for a test.

Ok, I expect that today the SVN updating will be addressed. Not sure if they will want to go manual though.

Ad-Man knows much more about this sort of thing than I do, so I merely await his word.

Ok, there is a bit of difficulty with the SVN and auto updating. Basically its a command line concern for allowing easily switching the server. Whoever you will have running it can let me know via pm which way is preferred.

29th hosts 3 servers on www.ukgame.com (DOD:S and 2 BG2's) and everything runs great. They even have a fast download service for maps. It's buggy sometimes but it's getting better.

Let me know when you guys are ready for the testing, most of my clan has SVN installed and I think 29th does too, so we should get a good test run out of fit.

I'll tell all 29th to D/L. I should have about 10 people interested. Shout to Cripple or Junoo the date and we'll post it on our forums.

P.S. Alpina, 47th and 24th just moved away from ukgame, also we just played round 1 of the BGU match on James' playground (one of your ukgame servers) and I heard it was extremely laggy for everyone.

James' Playground is set for low cpu priority (that's why it's a 20 man). It'll handle a BGU match fine unless the 29th BG2 server is full. We now have 2 bg2 servers, a DOD:S server and an RnL server (that's actually very popular). So, don't blame the host when it's clearly the game. You can't have stable 50 man linebattles since the 2.0 update.
