i have a couple of ideas that could work:

*some people might want to have a fixed role in the campaign, so making subforums for each faction ("join americans" and "join british"), then inside each subforum, the officers set up recruitment threads for each platoon. that way we can have coordinated and fixed units for the commanders to manage in the field.

*a 40 slot teamspeak server could also be of use, with separate channels for each platoon, and orders given by officers to privates are transmitted through TS, while the in-game voice chat can be used to ask for assistance and commanders giving orders to each officer, making combat more organized and tidy.

Not a terrible idea on the sub-forums, set those up.

I'd LIKE to see a VOIP server of some sort for use, but the teams would have to agree to use them. Especially useful: It'd take the strain off the BG2 server itself, as less data (in the form of voice) would be going through the server
